Hello Alma,
I have thought on this as well. Not in the east/west sense but in the country/city.Alot of people in the west/city do not see where their food comes from.To them it is the grocery store. They do not have to see the animals killed so death is not a normal thing to them. Some kids in the city have never had a pet.On the flip side is the desensitization through video games, movies, lack of morals(or faith).I believe this is a very bad combination. To start in life not understanding the cycle of life. Not valuing only life but understanding how precious life is.Then to learn about death through video games and movies. So now they are missing the value of life but do not regard death as something that is irreversible.Video games if you die,hit restart.Movies so much senseless violence, one little bullet,no big deal.Top that off with missing or absentee parents to teach morals and faith to control things, lack of accountability(or excuses for their actions) and you see where we are having problems with our kids here in the U.S.
