No, I haven't changed my mind at all. Defending yourself is one thing. Putting a captured prisoner to death in cold blood is another. One is self-defense. The other is revenge. VERY different.

I still stand by what I said a long time ago about believing that the death penalty is wrong. There's also no evidence that it acts as a deterent. Trying to solve the problems they have with Muslim extremists in Mindanao will not be solved by mass slaughter. It would also be very un-Christian, and I could never support that. I DO however support the right of men to defend themselves and others.

Can I ask you something? What is your point about Australians, Germans and New Zealanders all looking like Americans to you? What does this have to do with death penalties?
