And normally you won't have to worry about being rude (in the vulgar sense, not the impolite - they're mostly very polite). It's only a very rare Filipina or Fiipino who doesn't appreciate a rude joke. Prudishness is seldom encountered. That is not to say you should immediately commence farting out loud and making suggestive remarks. Everybody there does have a healthily coarse sense of humour though, and if you do let something slip it won't be the end of the world, as it sometimes is in our societies.

It is wise to sort out a mutually acceptable position on helping families financially once marriage becomes a possibility. As Jeff says, and as most of us have learned, many Filipinas have notions about financial matters which are totally foreign to Westerners. It's no good giving you specific advice because you can't always easily suss out the strength of the family ties in advance. As a rule, however, the family bonds are very strong and tend to hold sway in areas of life they have no right to.

Religious difference is another matter we've all seen cause bother if it isn't properly discussed. Again there are no rules other than to arrive at a mutually acceptable outlook.
